Recently, the China Innovation Finance Institute | Chengdu has actively worked on three core areas: deepening cross-border investment and financing, promoting sustainable finance practices, and promoting the development of\u00a0the Western China Financial Center. Through active participation in international academic discussions, industry forums, and regional development conferences, the Institute continuously shares professional insights and practical solutions. In October, Dr. Jane Lee, President of the Our Hong Kong Foundation, and her delegation visited Chengdu. Accompanied by the China Innovation Finance Institute | Chengdu, the delegation visited leading technology innovation companies in Chengdu, such as ADASPACE and AEROFUGIA, to gain a firsthand understanding of the city’s innovation vitality and engage in in-depth discussions on collaboration opportunities between Chengdu and Hong Kong.<\/p>

The Our Hong Kong Foundation is a non-government, non-profit organization founded in November 2014 by\u00a0Honourary Chairman Mr. Tung Chee-hwa, former Vice Chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and former Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China. The foundation aims to bring together new ideas and perspectives and contribute to Hong Kong\u2019s prosperity and stability under the “one country, two systems” principle. The China Innovation Finance Institute | Chengdu maintains friendly exchanges with the Our Hong Kong Foundation and continues to advance research cooperation. In October, the 2025 Annual Conference of the Chinese Association of Middle East Studies and the Academic Symposium on \u201cThe\u00a0Development of Strategic Autonomy of Middle Eastern Countries under the Global South Framework\u201d was successfully held by the Chinese Association of Middle East Studies. Calvin Chenggang Fu, Chairman of The China Innovation Finance Institute | Chengdu, was invited to deliver a speech during the closing session of the symposium.<\/p>

The conference focused on the theme of the development of strategic autonomy of Middle Eastern countries in the context of the Global South, bringing together experts, scholars, and policymakers. Participants engaged in in-depth discussions on issues such as the political landscape and economic transformation of the Middle East, providing new perspectives for research on Middle Eastern development and international cooperation and exchange.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t

In October, the \u201c2025 China Investment Forum,\u201d co-hosted by CFA Institute and Phoenix Satellite TV, was successfully held. The forum aimed to promote the deep integration of financial practice and sustainable development, gathering distinguished guests from the government, international organizations, financial institutions, businesses, and academia.<\/p>

Since its establishment, The China Innovation Finance Institute | Chengdu has been conducting solid work\u00a0in the field of international talent development for sustainable finance and sustainable investment. At this forum, The China Innovation Finance Institute | Chengdu, along with Industrial Bank Co., Ltd., Harvest Fund, Deloitte China, China Merchants Securities Co., Ltd. (CMS), and other institutions, was officially thanked by the CFA Institute, highlighting the recognition of the Institute\u2019s professional contributions by the international market and investment management industry. In October, the Policy Research Office of the CPC Chengdu Municipal Committee organized a seminar on the construction of Chengdu as the Western China Financial Center, bringing together representatives from government departments, financial institutions, research organizations, and other sectors to discuss key issues such as the functional positioning of the Western China Financial Center, financial innovation pathways, and risk prevention mechanisms. The goal was to gather insights and develop targeted development plans.<\/p>

Dr. Rui Ma, representing The China Innovation Finance Institute | Chengdu, attended the seminar and delivered a speech. Drawing on research and practical experience in innovation finance and cross-border investment and financing, Dr. Rui Ma shared ideas for promoting Chengdu’s international financial cooperation. Strategically, she proposed supporting the “Chengdu Finance Week”, leveraging the CIDP | Cross-border Investment & Financing Digital Platform, deepening Chengdu\u2019s cooperation with Central Asia, the Middle East, and Europe while fully leveraging the hub role of Hong Kong, and strengthening global intellectual support.<\/p>

Additionally, Dr. Rui Ma provided practical case studies and policy recommendations for the internationalization of the Western China Financial Center, including seeking national policy support, upgrading cooperation platforms, enhancing cross-border investment and financing capabilities, and establishing overseas innovation finance centers.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
