International Financial Centre Development Conference was recently co-hosted in Hong Kong and Chengdu. The conference was conducted in collaboration with the Hong Kong Institution for International Finance and the Federation of IFC&IIC.
More than 50 experts and scholars from governments, regulators, enterprises, and associations from the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Europe and the Middle East focused on the themes of global financial services and cross-border innovation investment, Hong Kong’s capital market and the Western financial centre construction, and Hong Kong-Chengdu financial cooperation, and discussed how global financial centres empower the development of innovative economies and deepen financial integration.
The conference delved into the institutions, legislations, talents, and innovations in international cooperation required for the long-term development of Hong Kong and Western Financial Centre, as well as exchanging analyses of markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia.
